Leading housebuilder Berkeley Homes welcomed the year of the horse with Chinese New Year celebrations at its flagship regeneration scheme in the Royal Borough of Greenwich. Kidbrooke Village opened its doors to the public offering Chinese delicacies and treats alongside tours of the show apartments and completed townhouses in Blackheath Quarter.
Visitors were able to discuss their requirements with experienced sales consultants and glean all the information they needed about the range of layouts, designs and finishes available in order to pick the perfect home. The afternoon ended with a spectacular fireworks display bringing residents from Kidbrooke Village and the local community together to enjoy the New Year in style.
John Anderson, Chairman of Berkeley Homes (East Thames), comments: "The strong sense of community is one of the greatest assets of Kidbrooke Village and we enjoyed hosting members of the public, local community and existing residents to celebrate the Chinese New Year. 2014 will be a great year for Kidbrooke Village; we'll soon bring new homes and apartments to the market, completions are expected in Meridian Gate, and preparations for fourth and final phase will start to take shape."
Once complete, Kidbrooke Village will comprise 4,800 new homes, 55 acres of parkland and open spaces, along with a new school, health centre, shops, as well as leisure and community facilities. The current phases Blackheath Quarter and Meridian Gate are already well underway with build progress steadily gaining momentum and sales reflecting the appealing lifestyle that is on offer. Prices for apartments currently available start from £370,000 and townhouses from £800,000.
Kidbrooke Village benefits from superb transport links providing easy access to the West End, city and Canary Wharf. Services running through the scheme's on-site train station provide direct access to London Bridge (15 minutes), Waterloo East (19 minutes), Charing Cross (23 minutes) and Victoria (28 minutes) - all of which connect to the London Underground network.
